Daniel Travers aka Redideo

Redideo Artworks is the studio home of San Diego artist Daniel Travers.

He creates under the name Redideo, working from the Gaslamp Quarter. This is where his original fine art lives, separate from all client work.

Daniel also owns Redideo Studio, a San Diego creative agency specializing in web design, video production, branding, and design. The two operate independently. Redideo Artworks is his art. Redideo Studio is his agency.

Daniel is a multimedia artist. His work spans fine art painting, illustration, digital and algorithmic art, video, aerial photography, animation, and sound, with ongoing explorations in AI as part of the process. His practice is rooted in finding creative ways to combine media, with ideas and techniques often crossing from one format into the next.

His creative foundation started early with formal art classes at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Street and urban art shaped his eye before he pursued formal training. He earned a BFA in Photo New Media from the Kansas City Art Institute and an AAS in Graphic Communications from St. Louis Community College.

He spent years writing, recording, producing, and DJing across multiple music projects, including time in professional studio settings. That era still shows up in the work. The vinyl record art grew directly out of it: a way to turn a music format into a physical piece. The records don’t play. They hang on walls. It’s a knowing wink, and it’s also the point.

Daniel has also produced animation concepts as part of his studio practice. In a low-brow humor lane (expect toilet humor), he created a sizzle reel for Captain Sewer Pickle with a small team and produced most of the music. The project sharpened his approach to timing, pacing, and narrative.

He also holds an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate, using drone photography as another visual input: perspective, geometry, and environment studies that can feed into finished pieces.

Throughout his career, Daniel’s full-time professional work in web design, video production, and commercial art has run in parallel with an ongoing studio practice. That professional work supported the studio, which continued through periodic bodies of work and releases.
