Daniel Travers, also known as Redideo, is a San Diego artist with a fine arts background from the Kansas City Art Institute. His work mixes traditional training with modern experimentation, using color, rhythm, and texture to create unique hand-painted pieces on upcycled vinyl records. Each artwork is meant to feel alive on a wall and offer something you won’t find in mass-produced decor. Learn more about the artist here.

After the original label is removed, a high-grade gesso base is applied to the vinyl record. The design is then hand-painted directly onto the surface using a custom acrylic paint mix, and in some cases, acrylic markers. Once the paint is fully dry, the piece is sealed with a durable epoxy resin that cures to a glossy finish and helps protect the artwork. Several pieces also feature layered resin, with drawing and detail work added between coats to create extra depth. The back is hand-signed “Redideo.”

Cleaning: Use a dry microfiber cloth for dust. For smudges, use a slightly damp microfiber cloth with water (or a tiny drop of mild dish soap), then wipe dry. If needed, you can also use a small amount of ammonia-free, non-alcohol glass cleaner on a microfiber cloth (spot test first), then wipe dry.

Avoid: Abrasives, paper towels, and solvent cleaners (ammonia, alcohol, acetone, citrus, “degreasers”).

Light/heat: Avoid long periods of direct sunlight and high heat to reduce the chance of fading or yellowing over time.

Every screen displays color a little differently. Expect minor variations between what you see online and the artwork in person.
